More reports on Iran-Israel war, Iran reports the heaviest bombardment since war began


This ahead of the ceasefire due at 0400 GMT (midnight US Eastern time), some media reports:

  • Iran deflecting most intense strikes since June 13
  • Iran’s Nour News (linked to the Supreme National Security Council): “The scale of the explosions that occurred tonight in Tehran and Karaj is the largest in 12 days.”
  • Heavy bombardments in Tehran, beyond what has been happening in the past 12 days. “Dozens of bunker-buster bombs have been fired at the Chitgar area of Tehran and a high-ranking official targeted”, according to some reports.
  • Massive explosions are heard in Tehran since midnight, the last phase of negotiations is being conducted under fire. Different areas in the capital came under intense bombing by Israel. I asked a senior official whether there’s a deal in place he responded NOT YET.
  • Israeli Army Radio, citing sources: There is a possibility of rocket barrages being launched toward Israel.
  • Source tells France24
    that if Israeli strikes continue after 3:30 Tel Aviv time, Iran would consider the ceasefire as voided.
