The comments here are rather generic but it sets the tone before we get to some mid-level talks between the US and China next week. All that before the big summit in Beijing featuring US president Trump and China president Xi Jinping.
In the run up to the crucial meet, expect both sides to keep up with the niceties as they look to put on a show again.
As for China’s NPC session, it is one that is expected to conclude on 12 March. The key highlight will be the details for its five-year plan and also the 2026 GDP growth target. The latter will be of much importance for global market sentiment as it provides an estimate for how China is positioning itself on the economic front.
