South Korea Consumer Prices Rise 0.1% In June


Consumer prices in South Korea were up a seasonally adjusted 0.1 percent on month in June, Statistics Korea said on Thursday.

That was in line with expectations and down from the 0.5 percent increase in May.

On a yearly basis, inflation accelerated to 3.2 percent – again matching forecasts and up from 3.1 percent in the previous month.

Petroleum products were largely responsible for the increase, skyrocketing 24.7 percent on year due to geopolitical concerns.
